Hi,
We have selected a custom auto-approval workflow in the Global Config -> Role Modification Workflow. Below is the workflow:
We just want to trigger a notification email when a role creation request or a role update request is raised. We do not want any approver action.
But when we update a role, the status of the role changes to Composing, but no new version is created for the role and hence I am unable to send the role for approval. Below are the screenshots of the same:
Please let me know if I might be missing some configuration or if this is a product bug.

Hi @aksharkay ,
Attach approval workflow to Global Configuration—>Roles Add Workflow instead of Role Modification Workflow and try.

Thank you for your comment! Roles Add Workflow also has an auto-approval workflow attached. Yet, I don't see the new version created in the role. Here is the screenshot of the workflow:
Please let me know if I shall try something else.

Did you created your own custom auto approval workflow or using OOTB one?
If you are using OOTB, create your custom auto approval workflow, attach it in global config and try.

Yes, we are using a custom auto approval workflow, but not luck with that yet 😞

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything in the logs related to the role which I modified.

How the role is being modified? From request , you via some csv file?
