Hello Everyone,

We have a requirement to migrate the changes from 5.5 (production) environment to 24.4 (sandbox).Actually we have build a new sandbox environment on version 24.4. Now we need to have the same config as in production .The target connection URL will be updated to point to dev instances.

Has anyone done this sort of migration if yes what's the the best practise for the same.

Thanks

  • you need to manually update connection urls and credentials as export doesn’t move credentials

@sabthamis  As suggested Rushi ,Just export the connections after that we need to update  URL credentials, we  dont have alternative , we done same way 5.5 to EIC

Admin-> Transport->Export -> Connections

@Rahul @rushikeshvartak  My main question was since the version are very different, Will the export and import works here ?

Because in other IAM products I have noticed both should be on same version. So my understanding here as per your message is it does not creates any problem if we migrate the config from 5.5 to 24.4.

Thanks in advance.

@sabthamis  We got your question .

1.if you migrate connectors it will export and import , but here question 5.5v & after migration instance both are same PROD to PROD or DEV to DEV if do like it will work not required to change anything .

1.if want migrate DEV to PROD -> both are pointing same target system and user/pwd will same means not required change anything direct export and import

if diffence user/pwd/url  then after import just need to modify -> user/pwd/url

Thanks,
Raghu

Transport functionality works irrespective of version.
