Jira to Saviynt Request Provisioning

Hello All,

What would be the recommended approach for below scenario?

  • Users will submit the ticket in Jira.
  • Jira will call Saviynt access request creation API.
  • The request will be created in the Saviynt and will go through the approval process.
  • Whenever request state changes(at any step approval completed) need to call the Jira API from Saviynt to update the Jira ticket status. Task provisioning will happen in the Saviynt.

To implement this we are considering two options:

  1. Write java code, schedule jar job which will periodically scan the request and if the status is updated, it will send an update to JIRA.
  2. Use the invite action block in the workflow after every approval, whenever a request is approved send an update to JIRA.

Thank you!

  • after every approval you can add action event block and call java functions to run. Job to send status to jira
