Hi Team,

In my Execution trail page, in "Current Rule Trail" the records are stuck up and I want to move all the records to "Archive Rule Trail"

Can you please let me know how to move from Current to Archive Rule.

Thanks

Bindu.

Hi @BinduVaranasi ,

There is job in Saviynt Archival Job to archive multiple things as per requirement. Can you run the job by selecting Cleanup Execution Trail option under Select Archive Option to archive execution trail.

Refer below document for more details about job:

Refer below document for Archival Policy in Saviynt:

Hi,

I have checked this documentation. But here we have two options.

  • Cleanup Execution Trail - Select this option to archive data in the Elastic index and in the execution_trail table.

  • Cleanup Rule Run Data - Select this option to remove data from the userrulerundata_archive table.But I need to clear the data only in the current execution trail and move them to archive execution trail.

  So for that only Cleanup Execution Trail will be sufficient ?

Thanks

Bindu.

Hi @BinduVaranasi

I think Cleanup Execution Trail is sufficient in your case as you just wanted to archive execution trail.

Cleanup Rule Run Data is for cleaning up the userrulerundata_archive which store the archive of userrulerundata table. Userrulerundatatable stores all the changes happened on the user, by which job and type of rules to be triggered on the user.

Is there any column do we need to update the records first  and then run the job to move to Archive execution trail ?

Thanks

Bindu.

@BinduVaranasi ,

I think it will just move the execution trail created before 90 days to archive, since as per default archival policy it's 90 days. Can you check after you run the job execution trail created before 90 days got archived?

@pmahalle

The records are present from year 2020 in current trail and when I run the archival job, it is not moving to archival trail. No single record is moved.

Thanks

Bindu.

@BinduVaranasi ,

As per the document, ideally it should be archived, you can raise FD ticket and check with Saviynt.

Also any error/exceptions in the logs after job run?

Hi @BinduVaranasi ,

Can you check your configuration table for the below values:

select * from configuration where name like '%TRAIL%'

armaanzahir_0-1691568368662.png

The ENABLE_EXECUTION_TRAIL_PURGING is to be set to 1 for it to be functional and the retention_interval_execution_trail indicates the number of days you want to retain the trail for.

You can update it via a custom query job or better to raise an FD ticket to Saviynt if this is not set. After which you can utilize the same job trigger for archiving the trail.

Hi @armaanzahir

The values are the same that you have mentioned. I am having records that are more than 90 days (even from 3 years in the queue).
When I run the archival job, nothing is moving to archive trail . both processed and not processed ones are in the current trail only.

Bindu

Better to raise an FD for the same as it's not conforming to the feature provided. Any luck with any errors seen in logs?
