Enterprise Role Creation Form Customization

Hi,

We have a requirement where we need role owners to login to Saviynt with an end user-like view. To optimize role owner user experience, we wish to make a few changes to the OOTB Role Creation/Management forms. If anyone has any details on the same, request you to kindly provide your insights for the below points:

  1. How does Saviynt maintain any custom GSP files whenever there is a new patch upgrade?
  2. Is there a way to customize the Role Custom Property labels from Saviynt UI, instead of making any changes to the GSP file?
  3. Is it possible to hide some endpoints and entitlement types for role owners from the Entitlements Section in the Role Page?
  4. Is it possible to hide some sections in the Role Page like Functions, Business Processes, Groups etc. which might not be required for our use-case without making changes to the GSP files?
  5. Is it possible to trigger an approval workflow to entitlement owners whenever that entitlement is added or removed from a role?
  6. Under Manage Roles page, is it possible to show all roles in the system in a read only mode and provide edit option only for those roles which that role owner owns?
  7. Is it possible to have an option during Role Creation which shows existing roles having a similar role composition (along with something like a similarity %) so that the role owner can decide if the new role is even needed or not?

Please let me know if you need any other details around the above queries.

Thanks & Regards,

Akshar

@aksharkay you can drive a part of this through configs.

1. We do not support custom gsp changes to the forms. There are very limited gsp available to change under Admin > File Directory. Regarding the management of gsps during the upgrades, let me check and get back to you on that.

2. Role Custom Property labels can be modified from UI using the Role UI Admin SAV role. You need not make any gsp changes for it.

3. No this cannot be done

4. Yes, this is driven through the configs. You can control what tabs are needed and what are not. Navigate to Admin > Settings > Tab Config. You can update the settings here.

5. Yes, there is a workflow for role modification under Admin > Global Configuration > Roles. You can set the workflow you need in this section

6. I don't think this is possible. But let me check and get back on this.

7. This cannot be done from the Admin > Roles page.
