Hi,

we have encountered an error related to the endpoints_properties table. Requests to AD child endpoints failed after the upgrade from 2021.4 to 23.2 because there were duplicate entries in the endpoints_properties table, because for each AD child endpoint there was two rows with the same endpointkey.

We raised a Freshdesk ticket about the issue and it's now solved by running a CustomQueryJob to update endpoints_properties so that there are no duplicates. However there's no root cause for the issue so we don't know why we had this issue and if it can happen again.

We haven't found any information about the endpoints_properties table. Is there any information available on the purpose of the table, when is it supposed to be updated and what is it used for?

Has anyone else run into issues with the table?

endpoints_properties is used to handle the certain cases in PAM and IGA implementation.

For IGA implementation , if for some reason an a particular endpoint request flow has to be rendered in the classic UI(v5.5) then entry in this table is done to achieve that for the particular endpoint.

For PAM, this table captures the status of prerequisite process to make the particular endpoint available for placing PAM requests.

Further for the RCA its better to ask on the support ticket which says about the issue and resolution.
