Enable local authentication for Breakglass Access

Hi Team,

As per our design, we are planning to use local authentication for break glass procedure. After we enabled SSO, when we try to access local authn URL , we are getting 403 forbidden error. We have already created multiple tickets and it was closed every time without resolution.

We tried the suggestion provided as below in the one of these tickets,
update users set localauthenabled=1,passwordexpired=0,enabled=1 where username in ('saviyntsupportagent3');

But still its the same. I can see this is just updating the attribute for the user but the URL itself is not accessible now.

After seeing some forum responses, I can see that the local authn is restricted to Saviynt network. Kindly help us on how to use the local authn for our break glass procedure.

Thanks,
Lokesh

Hi @LokeshSoundar ,

Greetings.

As per product team's guidelines, the localauth capability is restricted due to security concerns. Hence enabling local auth is not recommended or supported at this moment.

Thanks,

You can't configure break glass account as URL is exposed only through Saviynt VPN network
