Hi Team,

We have identified DB connectors to be used for our project. From a security perspective & best practices, we wanted to understand as to :

  • How the DB passwords are stored in Saviynt as well as in transit so that it is not compromised?
  • What is the impact of giving direct DB access to Saviynt?

Hi @necoutinho

Saviynt uses Bcrypt algorithm to store the passwords for all connections.

As of such there is no impact of giving direct DB access as many customers are already using DB connectors and there is no such impact ,it will just be like other target systems where saviynt is managing.

You can check out our Database connector guides
