Custom Jar Logging - Saviynt V23.4

Hi All,

We have been recently upgraded to Saviynt V23.4. After the upgrade, we noticed that the System.out.println statements which we had in our Custom Jar were not getting printed in the ECM Logger View.

We have been informed by the PS team that system out logs were disabled from v23.4.

Can anyone here guide us on any other alternate approach for printing logs from custom jar?

Thanks,

Nitish

You can use java.util.Logger instead.

You can follow the logging guidelines of Saviynt Connector Framework. The Custom Jar connector is in the process of revamp and should include the best practices in the future.

The Github project for Connector Framework is available at - https://github.com/saviynt/databaseconnector/blob/master/src/main/java/com/saviynt/ssm/connectorms/s...

//Include following packages

import org.slf4j.Logger;
import org.slf4j.LoggerFactory;

//Initialize the logger in your constructor

private final Logger logger = LoggerFactory.getLogger(this.getClass());

// Log messages

logger.debug("Message ");

Avoid excessive logging and only log the messages that are absolutely required.

Dear @Falcon

This way of using logger is not working on V23.5, please suggest.

I tried this and did not work.

import org.slf4j.Logger;
import org.slf4j.LoggerFactory;

//Initialize the logger in your constructor

private final Logger logger = LoggerFactory.getLogger(this.getClass());

// Log messages

logger.debug("Message ");

Thanks

import java.util.logging.Logger;

private static final Logger MYLOGGER = Logger.getLogger(String.valueOf(MyCustomClass.class));

MYLOGGER.info("Entering MyCustomClass::doProcess");

Tried with different loggers, but none of them are printing any logs in debug in V23.4

Can anyone let us know if these loggers are working in version of 23.4?

Thanks,
