Create new user flow

Hello all,

We want to be able to create new users in EIC. As a part of that user creation, based on the user registration form input, we need to create snow tasks/tickets for certain access for new user. But these tasks are for things like requesting a laptop, phone etc. Is there a way to do this, without creating a security system/endpoint for these items? We can create snow tasks/tickets with using servicenow as the provisioning or ticketing connection, but in this case - we don't want to create endpoints for these items.  What are some best practices to handle something like this?

You can use user update rule for creating ticket

Hi Rushikesh,

User update rule will allow you to create a ticket, in the context of 'add access' or 'create account' actions right? Either that, or via 'custom action' that calls some custom java code. I need to have the security system/endpoint set up to trigger the create account or add access actions.  

Or are you saying that there is a way to just trigger a create ticket action via user update rules? 

Yes you need security system and endpoint
