Conditional Certify should create remove access task immediately?

We are seeing a weird behavior where the remove access task is created immediately when the certifier does future-dated conditional certification. Will access be revoked as well or remove access task just stays in open state until the end date is reached?

  • Tasks should be created as per start date by Create Tasks for Future Ent Role Requests (EnterpriseRoleManagementJob) Job.
  • If task is created before is access getting revoked also ?
  • Did you enabled instant provisioning ?

Tasks are getting created immediately. We have instant provisioning enabled but it did not revoke access yet.

As long as access is not revoked ,its good. for testing disable instant provisioning and check behavior

But as you mentioned before tasks themselves should not be created.  Is this expected behavior or a product bug?

seems product bug raise freshdesk

Task will get closed/completes the process once it reaches the end date.

Create Revoke Tasks for Revoked/Conditional Certified Items on Locking :

When you select this option to create revoke tasks for rejected or conditionally certified items (accounts, or entitlements) once the Role Owner Campaign is locked. The tasks for conditionally certified items are created as future-dated tasks when the campaign is locked.

This is the expected behaviour.

From my experience, task is created on locking and it will be provisioned when end date becomes past date.
