Hi,
We have setup multiple types of roles with Parent-Child relationship.
#1. We have Department role setup, Business Unit role is added as a child to the Department role and Division role is added as a child to the Business Unit Role. When the Department role is assigned to the user via Technical rule, we could see that all corresponding access/entitlement from its child also got added (as expected) however all 3 roles are showing up under the user --> role
#2. Same way we have Location, Country and Region roles also setup. When the Location role is assigned to the user via Technical rule, we could see that all corresponding access/entitlement from its child also got added (as expected) however only the Location role is showing up under user --> roles
We have similar setup for some other types of roles as well, we observed only direct role is showing under user profile, not the child roles. I believe that is the standard behavior as well.
Can anyone help me understand what the reason for #1 could be? Is that a bug it is showing all roles under user profile? Any help would be appreciated.
PS: All roles are setup in the same way. There is no difference in terms of their attributes.

Only parent roles should be visible visible under user - role section. Can you share rule
