Hi so as the subject states, we would like to have the session timeout more than 30 minutes. Saviynt has stated to us that 30 minutes is maximum value that we can use in http session timeout.
Our client is not happy with how the timeout and sessions are working right now and I agree with them that it is very annoying. Down below is some comments from client to open up the issue more and explain how we would like it to behave:
"If there is a background task that would refresh the session as long as someone has their browser open, this would not be an issue. If they close their browser, 30 minutes is very acceptable. What we saw and is causing the issues, both in production and in test: If someone has their browser open, is in the middle of updating a user, gets a phone call that lasts 45 minutes and then returns to Saviynt, they have to restart their entire work, which is not acceptable. For this reason, we wanted the session to be open for few hours.
Another solution could be not losing your data when the HTTP session timer expires, but this requires a lot more work on Saviynt side, and won't happen any time soon."
So if you have any tips or solutions to this, please let me know. Thank you in advance.
