HI,
Any suggestion on how we can provide "Home Drive Access" by executing SSH or Scripts in Linux/Unix server
Request you to please assist in achieving the same.
Thanks, Jayashree

Hi @jbaskaran Are you looking to provision access to your existing *nix server accounts via Saviynt? And usually every account has access to its home directory by default. Do you have any customization in your servers? If you can elaborate and provide an example, it will provide us a better understanding of your use case

Hi Nagesh,
Ok let me put it this way, can we execute/run a script using UNIX Connector?

As per documentation yes you can run commands if it does not require human interventions

Hi Rushikesh,
We have requested for the Unix server details to the customer to test the same but wanna ensure whether it can be achieved 100%. Since the existing script when executed it provides access/maps to an Unix directory to the users.

@jbaskaran Can you provide more details on the use case itself? During what event are you trying to run the script? And does it have to be a script or can it be a couple of commands? Unix connector supports the ability to mention commands in different scenarios like "Add Access", "Provision Account", "Update Account", etc. You can see the examples in the following connector guide

HI Nagesh,
Old process followed by the Customer; they have a script in a UNIX server & when executed it will provide access to a UNIX home directory to users.
Ex: In ADD Access Command/Remove Access Command - if we have the value as "sudo /private/admin/************.pl. Will this work ?

@jbaskaran I know for sure we can trigger shell scripts via the Add/Remove Access jsons (ex: sudo sh /home/xyz/test.sh). Technically, you should be able to trigger other kind of scripts as long as the server can run them. Please do try and let us know if that worked

Thank you for your update Nagesh, sure I will keep it posted once we configure and test it.
