Can Saviynt agents login using 'admin' or always need saviyntsupportagent users to login?

Wanted to confirm on above ask. As we have audit issues, when saviynt agents login and directly add role admin to another agent for troubleshooting.

Thanks

Hi @manisha9084 ,

Thanks for reaching out.

Saviynt Support Agents working on Freshdesk tickets will always need SaviyntSupportAgent ID's to login.

Hi @DaanishJawed , Could you please let me know what is difference between 'admin' and 'saviyntsupportagents' ?

And why cannot saviynt support use 'Admin' as that has role admin always assigned.

Thanks

Manisha

Hi @DaanishJawed

Any update please ?

Hi @manisha9084 ,

The user 'admin' and its credentials is entirely managed by the customer. Hence, it is not advised for Saviynt Support Agents to use the ID 'admin'.

Saviynt Support Agent ID's are used for audit purposes for both the customer and Saviynt internally. Also, the password for these support agents keeps rotating based on the agent who requested access for it. If there any changes made using the saviynt support agent ID's on customer's environment, we can identify the user at our end who made the changes which helps in audit purposes.

Also, it is recommended for Saviynt Support Agent ID's to have the SAV role ROLE_ADMIN_SAVIYNTSUPPORT.

Without these Saviynt Support Agent ID's, the support agents will be unable to help resolve any issues when a ticket is logged into FD by the customer.

Thanks.
