Analytics V1 Deprecated From SP3.17 - How to convert all V1 analytics to V2?

Hi Team,

1) How do I convert all V1 analytics to V2?

2) We have provided V1 analytics access to other SAV role? What will be the impact on transition V1 analytics to V2?

Upgrade Job

Use this job to migrate the analytics controls and maintain all actions from Version 1 (V1) to Version 2 (V2).

The migration process also migrates the history data of controls.

Note

The migration process does not migrate preventative controls because runtime preventative controls are not supported in Analytics V2.

From Release v5.5 SP3 onwards, the following new options are added to fix the AssignedFromRule column in Account_Entitlements1:

  • Backup Account Entitlements Data : Takes backup of Existing Account entitlements1 table.

  • Evaluate Missing Rule Data : Evaluates the Technical Birthright rules and add the data in temporary table. This step will be performed only if AssignedFromRule is null.

  • Update Accounts Entitlements with Evaluated Data : Updates Assigned From Rule values with the evaluated value in Evaluate Missing Rule Data.

  • Remove Temp tables created in upgrade : Removes temporary table created during Evaluate Missing Rule Data.

  • Remove Account Entitlements DataBackup : Removes the backup table created in the Backup Account Entitlements Data.
    To migrate the controls from V1 to V2, perform the following steps:

  1. Select Admin > Job Control Panel > System > Upgrade Job (the Upgrade Job is accessible from the System category in the Job Control Panel).

  2. Add a new Upgrade job.

  3. Select the Upgrade Type as Migrate V1 to V2 analytics.

  4. Enter the query in Enter Query To migrate.

  5. In the job list, select Action > Start.

Note

The migration process also migrates the configuration history of the control.

When the configuration history is retained to V2, the following message is displayed:

" Moved to Version 2 via Upgrade Job on ${date} by ${user} who triggered the job".

Note
  • This procedure is applicable only when the Flat Job Control Panel is not enabled (Admin > Configurations > Global Configurations > Common > Enable Flat Job Control Panel is turned OFF).

  • The SQL query is case sensitive. Enter the characters in the same case as seen in the query.
