We have requirement, where we need to onboard external users in bulk (contractors, vendors etc) and provision them only target application access (which doesn’t require AD (domain) credentials). External users are not managed in Workday and doesn’t have any authoritative source.
We provided below options and also tested with application stakeholders
1. Bulk upload via CSV where user will login to Saviynt and upload the CSV with all users at once.
2. Bulk upload via CSV using SFTP server, but customer doesn’t have SFTP server.
3. Onboarding user via form (we could only onboard single user at a time, not bulk – is there any possibility for this to bulk onboard users via form)
4. Use ServiceNow as frontend to onboard users in bulk and Saviynt to provision and de-provision access based on ticket assignment to IGA team – but Saviynt should be frontend as per customer requirement.
Problem with option 1 is uploading CSV in Saviynt is bad user experience as end users are not from IAM background. Another problem is complete lifecycle management (Joiner and Leaver) of these users could not be tracked properly via CSV.
We want to know what are the other options available to onboard users in Saviynt in bulk.
