Keep ES dashboards synced with analytics

Hi,

I do have some V2 reports that I want to use as ES dashboards.

As these reports are running everyday, I expect the displayed dashboard number to be up-to-date with the last run of my report.

Unfortunately, I can't find out how to make it work because any dashboard requires to have a "data" value in the Chart Properties attribute;

Is there any specific value that must be inserted here at dashboard creation so everytime the analytc is refreshed, the dashboard is ?

Hi Adrien,

If you are creating ES based tiles, then the 'data' property is updated automatically based on the data returned by the associated V2 Analytics Control. Below is a sample screenshot:

While configuring for first time, you can add any dummy value to this 'data' property and as you update the dashboard it will get the latest data from the associated Analytics control.
The "dashboard query" plays the role in linking to the V2 analytics control here.

Thanks for this complete answer.

I created the dashboard with below configurations with '0' as dummy value for creation.

Then I runned the report whic retrieves about 1,7k entries

However, when I reach the dashboard page, my dashboard isn't updated with the right number.

I am running 5.4.0 in this instance.

I have tried the same on a 5.5 instance and it is working as expected.

So I guess I need to wait the upgrade to be performed.

Hi Adrien,

This was a bug in 5.4.0 version. You can request the backport patch. Which would solve your problem.
