The docs indicate that the FILE connector supports LDIF only, however when I create a connector with this type I can also choose csv. I don't see any docs about how to configure it as CSV. Is there any info available for that, or is this documentation pending, or is this a demo/non-GA feature that I should ignore?

The option to use csv is now deprecated. Following is the contents from 5.4.0 release notes

--------

SD-7401

For File Connection Type, removed csv as an option in File Type.

When creating a connection type as File using ADMIN > Identity Repository > Connections > Create Connection > and selecting Connection Type as FILE, in FILE TYPE parameter, CSV option is removed and only LDIF is supported as FILE TYPE.

--------

The same will be updated in the 5.4.0 File connector document.

Hi Rajiv,

What is the reason for deprecating CSV file support. And what is the alternative that we now provide to integrate with flat file feeds ?

For flat file feeds, you still have the ability to use the SCHEMA JOB. For CSV files, you do not need to define a connector.

You need a schema file and a corresponding csv/delimted file. This will need to be on an EFS (elastic file share) that the application has access to.
