Configuring Password Synchronization from Azure AD

Hi Team,

Customer is looking for an option to sync Azure AD password with Saviynt. I went through the below article which says all about the password sync with on prem active directory.

Is the same functionality feasible with Azure AD? Please let me know other possibilities here.

Hi Smitha,

The functionality is not available for Azure AD. 

The last we checked there were no APIs / agents or any other intercepting mechanism available from Azure AD that could be used to intercept and relay the password from Azure AD.

If you are aware of any documentations/ideas, please feel free to share and we can take a look into it.

Thank you for your response.

In the password sync from AD document, there is a reference to encrypting the password and sending it to EIC. Can you please help me with understanding the process for handling the decryption of passwords and syncing to the user profile.

How the password decryption is handled in EIC?

It uses 256 bit AES encryption.
