1. Why do you need jobs to configured to run at a specific time zone?

a) Bulk update of job schedules during day light savings ON and OFF

b) If any customer wants to execute the jobs in a specific time zone

2. What will be default time zone in which the jobs would execute if no time zone is configured?

UTC

3. Where can you configure the job time zone?

You can configure the time zone in Admin>Global configuration>Preferences

a) Timezone for Jobs: Drop down listing all time zone where you can choose from after which a confirmation pop up open that states to restart server for the time zone to be updated for all the existing jobs

b) Email Notification for Job Timezone change: Notification will be sent out to the update user for the updated time zone of job execution

Once the time zone for jobs is updated, all servers needs to restarted from Admin>Admin Function>Application Restart page for all existing and new jobs to run at the configured new time zone

4. Will all the existing jobs and new jobs to be created be executed in the configured time zone?

Yes

5. Can you execute few jobs in one time zone and others in a different time zone?

No, all jobs can be configured to run only in a single time zone

6. Which version of SSM supports configuring job time zone?

5.5.sp2 and higher versions

7. What new is coming up in this feature?

Automatic rolling restart of servers when job time zone is updated
