  1. What is special character externalization?
  • Enables customers to specify a regular expression for retaining special characters in user’s username, email, systemusername and accountname during creation
  • Enables customers to eliminate unwanted special characters in user’s username, email, systemusername and accountname without writing custom database functions or custom code

  1. How does SSM allow to retain the special characters?

You can add the special characters you want to retain in Special Characters text box in the Saviynt rules such as register user rule, systemusername rule, email generation rule and account name rule.
