1. What is the purpose of the Primary Account Type?

When user has multiple user accounts in an application, but you want to provision certain critical or birthright access to only one of the primary accounts


2. Where can you set up user account’s Primary Account Type?

Setting up a user account as Primary is 2 step process

User account should have account type populated



You can set up the Primary Account Type in Endpoint show page as below by choosing the account type from the drop down





3. Where can you leverage the power of Primary Account Type?


a. When you request for an enterprise role or firefighter role, and you have 2 user accounts, and you want the role access to be only provisioned to the primary account

b. When you have a Birthright enterprise that you want to provision only to user’s Primary Account

c. When you have a Birthright access that you want to provision only to user’s Primary Account

d. When user’s manager in AD has 2 AD accounts, but you want to add only manager’s primary account to populate as the user’s manager while provisioning

For point 3.d is there any additional configuration required to be done? I have tried this configuration but saviynt is still setting the non-primary account as the manager account

Rituparna Das - did you get any solution for the issue. In 5.5 SP 3.6 as well I am seeing the same issue, where both accounts (primary, non primary) are shown at ARS request page.
