Understanding OAuth Email Server Approach

If we setup the oAuth (enterprise App) in Azure, does Saviynt use that to authenticate to the mailbox directly?  Or, is Saviynt sending emails from outside our environment and "proxying" to a mailbox in our environment? Will there be a Saviynt mailbox sending on behalf of our company or leveraging our SMTP servers?

Saviynt will use oauth credentials and send email outside environment

Will you please explain further?

  1. Please explain how Saviynt sends email from the environment. How does the message originate, flow, and deliver.
  2. If using a customer mailbox, and a customer email address, do you use oAuth to authenticate to that mailbox, and send from within their environment to the internet?

#1 saviynt will authentic with email server details provided in global configuration and send out email from saviynt to end user

#2 if saviynt is installed within network it will send via network else public network

I need a bit more info. Perhaps if I ask the question differently.

  1. Please explain how Saviynt sends email from the environment. How does the message originate, flow, and deliver.
  2. If using a customer mailbox, and a customer email address, do you use oAuth to authenticate to that mailbox, and send from within their environment to the internet?
