Can we use Connect 2.0 to make a direct connection to a SQL server on-premise? We are planning to import user data for an application directly from a SQL server database.

The basic goal of SC2.0 connection is to provide a secured connectivity between the Saviynt Cloud and customer's on-prem resources like AD or DB. So yes, if you are looking to connect to on-prem DB, you will need SC2.0 setup. Once the infrastructure is in place, you can then configure the DB connector

Thank you for the confirmation. Can you please provide documentation on how to configure the connection between Connect 2.0 and the SQL server?

Again,
You don't configure SC2.0 between sql server and saviynt servers. Think of it more of a one time activity that you need to perform. Do you have access to Saviynt documentation? Search for SC2.0 and you will find the client configurations there
